Summary
An exciting opportunity for an experienced accounting professional in the growing data-as-a-service space. You will have the opportunity to get in on an early-stage company and help mold the financial reporting function. This role has the potential to develop into a controller role as the candidate proves they can take on and execute more responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Manage all accounting operations including Treasury, A/P, A/R, Payroll, General Ledger, Equity, Financial Reporting, Revenue Recognition, and Grant Reporting ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
- Manage the timely recording of all transactions and preparation of all financial reports.
- Manage the consolidation procedures between the parent company and international subsidiary.
- Manage the audit/review schedules and review of the books and records with an outside audit team.
- Manage the tax/review schedules and review of the books and records with an outside tax team.
- Manage investor relations and prepare presentations on the financial performance of the company.
- Help to build out more robust projection and budgeting processes.
Qualifications
- 5+ years in an accounting role
- CPA preferred but not required
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- Experience with international consolidations
- Experience building out projection and budgeting procedures
- Experience with software or detailed 606 revenue
- Experience working with Sage Intacct or similar system
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet strict deadlines
- Experience either performing audit procedures or being a primary contact within a company during an audit
