Overview

As an API Integrations Engineer you will advise prospective and current customers on how Augment will build bespoke AI-Assistants that solve their pains and greatly improve team productivity. Your main charge will be identifying where Augment’s AI can impact our customers most. This will be achieved through a deep understanding of the customer workflow ontology, mapped to Augment’s capabilities, and then demonstrated live in our application layer. You will also be deeply involved with Product, Engineering, and Sales, ensuring the seamless customer onboarding process and that new product requests are captured and tracked.

What You’ll Do

  • Build AI assistants for logistics by designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and improving pragmatic software.

  • Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.

  • Be a full business owner: shape the foundation of the product and business that you work on.

  • Contribute actively to code reviews and design reviews.

  • Engage with Customers – Serve as a key point of contact, identifying operational challenges and opportunities where AI Assistants can drive value. Collaborate with customers to quantify impact and define success metrics.

  • Solution Scoping & Implementation – Gather and refine functional and technical requirements, ensuring seamless AI agent deployment and system integrations. Develop a strong understanding of customer TMS, ERP, and third-party applications to align solutions effectively.

  • AI Agent Implementation & Integration – Work closely with customers to integrate AI Assistants into their existing workflows, ensuring compatibility with their technology stack.

  • Technical Sales Support – Build customized demos tailored to specific customer use cases, showcasing the capabilities of Augment’s AI solutions.

  • Collaboration & Innovation – Work with the engineering team to explore technical possibilities and drive the technical win during the sales and implementation process.

What We’re Looking For

  • BS degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Extensive TypeScript, Python, or JavaScript experience.

  • 3-5 years of customer-facing experience in one or more of the following:

    • Solutions Consulting, or

    • Pre-Sales Engineering, or

    • Supply chain/logistics transformation, or

    • Transportation Management System technology

  • 3+ years of direct involvement in the Transportation, Logistics, Freight Pay & Audit and / or Supply Chain Industries

  • Ability to lead large groups of people to meet critical goals

  • Ability to quantify business value

  • Ability to proactively identify and communicate risks and opportunities

  • Ability to lead process mapping, whiteboard sessions on workflows for implementations, create current and future state flows

  • Ability to travel up to 30%
