ROLE DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a Veterinary Clinical Application Specialist to provide part-time support for system installations, demos, trade shows, and clinical education. This role involves working closely with veterinary professionals in small animal, equine, and specialty practices to ensure optimal use of our ultrasound technology.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned

  • Deliver on-site clinical training and support workflow integration for veterinary ultrasound systems
  • Assist with product demonstrations and evaluations in a variety of veterinary care settings
  • Provide clinical expertise during installations and initial system setup
  • Work closely with the product management and service organization to report/improve product performance by providing guidance based on experience in/feedback from the field
  • Provide clinical assistance to the sales organization 
  • Monitor customer installations to insure customer satisfaction 
  • Represent Samsung in a professional manner
  • Maintain a positive attitude and exhibit patience with customer concerns or requests
  • Manage time effectively; prioritize and make good business judgments and decisions in relationship to efficiency, effectiveness 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • RDMS certification required; must possess excellent knowledge of the technical and clinical aspects of diagnostic ultrasound
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in veterinary ultrasound (small animal, equine, or specialty preferred)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility to travel on short notice
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to perform clinical and product training to all levels of customers
  • Willing to travel overnight

COMPUTER & ANALYTIC SKILLS

  • Must be excellent with technology, able to present using a laptop and able demonstrate proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet Explorer, and Google Chrome

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds 
  • Frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear
  • Must be able to sit and/or drive for long periods of time when travelling
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time (8-15 hours) for multiple days
  • Regularly exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather); fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outdoor weather conditions; extreme cold (non-weather) and extreme heat (non-weather).
  • Interaction with x-ray devices; for this reason strict safety and tracking programs are in place, requiring the utilization of dose monitoring equipment either full time or as necessitated by situation
  • The noise level in the work environment is occasionally very loud.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception and Ability to adjust focus
