Job Description

đź’ˇ Mission

The US healthcare system is complex, error-prone, and financially draining. Medical bills and insurance coverage shouldn’t be this hard to navigate. At Granted, we’re building the one solution every American can turn to for help.

Thanks to AI and new regulations, Granted can fight claim denials, correct billing errors, negotiate bills, and make coverage easier to understand—saving people time, money, and stress. Our goal is simple: to be the #1 platform that empowers all Americans to take charge of their healthcare.

🩺 About Us

Founded by former Oscar Health leaders, we’re a seed-stage company with $17M in funding. We’re lucky to be backed by the founders and investors at Hugging Face, Rocket Money, Oscar Health, TrueBill, CaseText, Forerunner Ventures, RRE Ventures, and more. We are well-funded for the next few years.

🔎 About the Role

  • Tackle complex, high-impact problems in clinical denials, appeals, and insurance coverage decisions.

  • Apply clinical expertise to review medical records and craft compelling appeals that help patients access the care they need.

  • Continuously learn about health insurance policies, payer guidelines, and regulatory frameworks affecting medical necessity and coverage.

  • Directly support healthcare advocates by preparing strong clinical appeals, documentation reviews, and guidance on denial cases.

  • Shape operations & product in a fast-moving early-stage environment- your clinical perspective drives smarter systems.

  • Gain deep expertise in US healthcare and its systemic challenges.

  • Champion diverse perspectives to build more inclusive, effective solutions.

  • Collaborate daily with an amazing team of healthcare advocates!

👩‍💻 We’ll be most excited if you

  • Bring clinical expertise- RN or LVN with experience in utilization review, appeals, or medical necessity documentation.

  • In-depth understanding of healthcare in the US – familiar with insurance coverage decisions, denials, and the appeals process.

  • Are passionate about health equity – committed to helping patients get the care they need, when the system says no.

  • Are a strong communicator – ability to distill clinical information into clear, persuasive arguments for coverage.

  • Thrive in ambiguity – comfortable navigating edge cases and working through unclear denial scenarios.

  • Have a bias for action – high output, gets things done.

  • Are mission-driven – excited to make a real impact!

📢 You don’t need to check every single box—if you bring the right skills and drive, we want to hear from you! 📩
