Job Description

​​​​​​We need a detail-oriented data entry operator to help us compile, capture, and maintain our digital database. You will be required to compile, merge, and format documents for data entry, check documents for errors, input data and update the database, and manage the digital filing systems as a data entry operator.

To be a successful data entry operator, you must have excellent typing skills and be detail-oriented. Skilled data entry operators should be able to identify data errors quickly and work with precision.

Pay: $19.00 - $27.00 per hour

Data Entry Operator Responsibilities:

  • Documents, materials, and information are gathered, collated, and prepared for data entry.
  • Conducting research in order to obtain information for missing documents and materials.
  • Making digital copies of paper or dictation.
  • Examining all documents and information for accuracy and reporting any errors or inconsistencies to the supervisor.
  • Putting data into digital databases and backing it up on a regular basis.
  • Databases, archives, and filing systems must be updated and maintained.
  • Monitoring, reviewing, and correcting errors or inconsistencies in databases.
  • As needed, generate and export data reports, spreadsheets, and documents.

Qualifications

  • GED or high school diploma.
  • 1 year of experience as a data entry operator or a similar position.
  • Excellent typing skills.
  • Outstanding time management and multitasking skills.
  • Knowledge of data capture and office management software such as Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
  • The ability to accurately manage and process large amounts of data.
  • Excellent knowledge of databases, as well as digital and paper filing systems.
  • Understanding of administrative and clerical procedures.
  • A keen eye for detail and the ability to concentrate for extended periods of time are required.
