About the role:
The ideal profile will be a key leader driving Earned’s new client development efforts. They will join our existing team of expert advisors and specialists and focus on new client development and asset formation, working closely with colleagues to close prospects. They must be able to create, cultivate and close prospects through the creation of the system, techniques, and individual effort that drive accelerated growth.
Given we are a start-up, the successful candidate will be attracted to being a pioneer in a business that is rapidly scaling, inspired by our purpose to serve physicians better- who today are radically underserved by incumbents. This critical role, as well as our young stage, affords the opportunity to help shape the full company while working closely with a very experienced team of industry experts and entrepreneurs. There will be an opportunity to develop strategies to optimally close business instead of coming into a “cast in stone” structure and process.
Key Responsibilities:
Directly create leads and prospects through sales techniques including in-person events with physician prospects
Develop and implement strategies that convince marketing-driven and self-created leads to engage further to learn more about Earned, culminating in directly closing new target client accounts and achieving growth goals
Lead the creation of the “ecosystem” and “playbook” - that drives client growth and asset formation – across acquisition channels that include multi-channel marketing as well as through “offline” channels like professional association events
Ensure a seamless prospect-to-client experience.
Key Requirements:
Bachelor's degree (Master's degree or MD preferred)
Series 65 Investment Adviser Representative license required or must hold one of the five professional designations that may be granted a waiver from the Series 65 exam, including the CFP®
Expert with CRM systems such as Salesforce and allied marketing and sales technology.
You have mastery of wealth management and financial planning. 7+ years of wealth management and comprehensive financial planning experience, with a preference for experience working with physicians
You are an innovator and a self-starter: You feel comfortable thinking outside the box and creating new ways to develop clients while navigating ambiguity. You are highly motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
You know your audience: You have - or can quickly develop - a deep understanding of physicians' unique wealth management needs and have mastered the know-how to use a consultative approach that meets prospects where they are. to add value to their daily lives.
You are an expert in closing: You have a proven ability to develop and close high-net-worth prospects; you have a strong track record in business development and acquiring new clients rather than simply maintaining existing ones. Ideally, you have experience in a sophisticated acquisition approach using multiple channels to drive leads.
You are flexible: You can be available to meet with physician prospects outside regular hours to accommodate their schedules and travel to attend events to meet with prospects.
You are highly empathic and trustworthy: You can understand our client's underlying motivations and concerns while having the professional credibility to earn the trust of people looking for real, evidence-based values
Key Attributes:
A track record of building a large book of business based on a consultative approach, with a preponderance of high-net-worth prospects – in a situation where the prospect required cultivation and engagement (versus order taking).
