Job Description

About Abridge

Abridge was founded in 2018 with the mission of powering deeper understanding in healthcare. Our AI-powered platform was purpose-built for medical conversations, improving clinical documentation efficiencies while enabling clinicians to focus on what matters most—their patients.

Our enterprise-grade technology transforms patient-clinician conversations into structured clinical notes in real-time, with deep EMR integrations. Powered by Linked Evidence and our purpose-built, auditable AI, we are the only company that maps AI-generated summaries to ground truth, helping providers quickly trust and verify the output. As pioneers in generative AI for healthcare, we are setting the industry standards for the responsible deployment of AI across health systems.

We are a growing team of practicing MDs, AI scientists, PhDs, creatives, technologists, and engineers working together to empower people and make care make more sense. We have offices located in the SoHo neighborhood of New York, the Mission District in San Francisco, and East Liberty in Pittsburgh.

At Abridge, we’re transforming the healthcare experience by helping clinicians focus on patients. Our generative AI platform reduces the burden of clinical documentation by turning conversations into structured notes—accurately, securely, and in real time.

As Director of Clinical Success, you will lead a high-impact, cross-functional team of clinicians and nurses who lead the clinical strategy and application of our products to maximize impact within our enterprise partnerships. Your team ensures successful adoption, builds clinical champions, drives change management, and helps inform the direction of our product through ongoing feedback. You’ll help scale our reach and deepen our impact—teamwide and systemwide.

What You’ll Do

Team Leadership & Strategy

  • Lead, mentor, and scale a team of Clinical Success Directors (MDs, DOs, PAs, NPs) and Nursing Clinical Success Directors (RNs, LPNs, etc.) focused on clinician enablement, change management, and adoption.

  • Build team culture that is collaborative, mission-driven, and performance-oriented.

  • Define and track team goals, success metrics, and KPIs that align with organizational impact.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across Implementation, Product, Partner Success, Sales, and Support to ensure a seamless partner experience from onboarding through long-term success.

Clinical Enablement & Change Management

  • Oversee the design and delivery of scalable training programs and resources for diverse clinician types (physicians, advanced practice providers, and nurses).

  • Partner with health systems to establish clinical champions and effective change management plans tailored to local workflows and needs.

  • Ensure your team delivers proactive outreach, ongoing support, and adoption strategies for both individual users and enterprise-wide deployments.

Product Feedback & Strategy

  • Serve as a strategic clinical voice in partnership with Product and Design teams to surface insights, feature requests, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Create clear frameworks and documentation that translate real-world feedback into actionable product direction.

  • Partner with Product Marketing to develop compelling collateral and messaging aligned with evolving clinical workflows.

What You’ll Bring

  • Clinical background required: MD, DO, PA, NP, or RN with direct experience in documentation workflows (Epic preferred).

  • 10+ years of professional experience, with at least 3 years in people leadership—preferably leading clinicians or clinical success/adoption teams in a high-growth or health tech setting.

  • Deep understanding of clinical documentation workflows, provider needs, and the cultural nuances of provider adoption.

  • Experience managing enterprise change management efforts across diverse care teams and specialties.

  • Proven ability to inspire and lead high-performing teams with empathy and clarity.

  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and a growth mindset.

  • Passion for building tools that truly improve the lives of clinicians and the quality of patient care.
