The Serve fleet has been delighting merchants, customers, and pedestrians along the way in Los Angeles while doing commercial deliveries. We’re looking for talented individuals who will grow robotic deliveries from surprising novelty to efficient ubiquity.

Serve’s Data and ML platform plays a pivotal role in the continuous development of our autonomy stack. ML Engineers use it to collect large datasets for data annotation, model training and benchmarking. Autonomy engineers utilize it to search, discover and access data for debugging edge cases and validating new autonomy features.
As part of the team you will be working on building developer facing applications that will help us collect petabytes of data from our fleet of robots. You will help improve our annotation platform that allows us to annotate ground truth for millions of frames of data.
Responsibilities
Deploy and maintain our fleet data collection, robot data management, replay and visualization systems
Optimize performance of our various backend services and databases
Write IaC (Infrastructure as Code) to set up cloud resources and deployments. Implement CI/CD pipelines to streamline the development and release process.
Ensure all our applications and services are highly available and secure
Create dashboards and define metrics to evaluate our application usability
Setup application monitoring and alerting
Collaborate with engineers in improving the UI/UX, collect ongoing feedback to drive product roadmap
Qualifications
BS in computer science or equivalent hands-on experience
3+ years of experience building full stack applications
3+ years of experience with NoSQL and SQL Databases
3+ years of experience with cloud platforms (GCP/AWS)
3+ years of experience with modern frontend frameworks (React/Vue)
Extensive experience with python backend libraries/frameworks
Strong SQL/Python coding skills and experience
Deep understanding of UI/UX best practices
