We are a fusion of former U.S. Special Operations cyber operators, startup engineers, and formerly frustrated cybersecurity practitioners. We're committed to helping solve our common security problems: ineffective security tools, false positives resulting in alert fatigue, blind spots, "checkbox” security culture, cybersecurity skills shortage, and the long lead time and expense of hiring outside consultants. Collectively, we are a team of learn it alls, committed to a culture of respect, collaboration, ownership, and results.
Why This Role Matters
As our Global Compensation Manager, you won’t just “run payroll.” You’ll be a critical force behind making sure our people are paid fairly, accurately, and on time — across borders and time zones — while helping design and scale global compensation processes for a company in hypergrowth.
From payroll to commissions to operational accounting, you’ll be at the center of it all — collaborating across HR, Finance, RevOps, and leadership. If turning complexity into clarity is your thing, you’re in the right place.
What You'll Do
Payroll & Commissions
Run end-to-end payroll operations for U.S. and international teams in partnership with HR and third-party platforms (Rippling, Deel).
Lead the monthly payroll close: reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and variance analysis.
Own global sales commission processes: calculate payouts, ensure accurate accruals, and align with revenue recognition policies.
Partner cross-functionally with Revenue Operations and Finance to operationalize commission plans.
Administer and optimize tools like Rippling, Everstage, and Deel.
Manage tax filings and employment tax compliance across multiple states and countries.
Ensure seamless onboarding and offboarding from a compensation standpoint.
Operational Accounting
Contribute to the monthly and quarterly close processes — think GL entries, reconciliations, and reporting.
Maintain accurate records for other payroll related areas like prepaids, benefits, and intercompany.
Strengthen and streamline internal controls and compensation-related financial processes.
Projects & Strategy
Drive high-impact initiatives: automation, tool implementation, policy updates, and process redesigns.
Be audit-ready: compile supporting documentation for internal and external audits.
Deliver reporting and financial insights to leadership; serve as a trusted partner across Finance, HR, and Sales.
What You'll Bring
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA is a strong plus).
6+ years of hands-on accounting experience, including payroll and commissions (global experience a plus).
Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP, especially payroll/comp-related standards.
Experience with payroll and accounting tools (Sage Intacct, Deel, Rippling, Netsuite, ADP, etc.).
Strong Excel skills, analytical horsepower, and detail obsession.
Adaptability, initiative, and the ability to work autonomously in a fully remote, fast-moving environment.
Clear communicator — capable of translating financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
Demonstrated commitment to maintaining confidentiality, ethics, and professional standards in handling financial information.
Nice to Have:
Experience at a high-growth SaaS company
Familiarity with tools like Everstage and Rippling
Exposure to SOX compliance
Involvement in system rollouts or process automation projects
