The Lead Strategic Alliances Manager is a key member of Oyster's strategic partnership team, directly impacting one of our most scalable and exciting revenue streams. This role focuses on securing, developing, growing, and nurturing strategic partnerships that drive demand and growth for Oyster.
In this position, you will engage partner stakeholders at all levels to build and maintain strong commercial relationships while developing comprehensive go-to-market strategies tailored to each partnership. You'll execute all aspects of partner management to maximize revenue potential and motivate partners to expand their business with Oyster. Additionally, you will work closely with our sales team to identify and enable co-sell opportunities, ensuring seamless collaboration that drives results.
Our Partnerships team operates at the intersection of Sales, Customer Experience, Marketing, Product, and Global Operations, creating a unique environment where you'll collaborate across multiple departments to drive revenue results while ensuring exceptional partner, customer, and team member experiences. Key Responsibilities
Strategic Partnership Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for Oyster's strategic partners, building and maintaining strong commercial relationships at all stakeholder levels. Foster trust and mutual understanding while developing comprehensive go-to-market strategies that drive net new business, ecosystem expansion, and revenue growth for both Oyster and our partners.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Sales, Customer Experience, Marketing, Product, and Global Operations teams to align partnership activities with overall business objectives. Coordinate efforts to leverage partner capabilities and resources effectively, enabling co-sell opportunities and maximizing Oyster's growth potential.
Performance Analytics & Optimization: Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics in collaboration with internal teams and partners to measure partnership success. Track and analyze performance against objectives, proactively addressing challenges while identifying opportunities to expand existing partnerships and optimize collaboration efforts for maximum impact.
Strategic Market Intelligence: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify new partnership opportunities. Use market insights to inform partnership strategies, guide portfolio optimization decisions, and uncover emerging growth areas that align with Oyster's scalable revenue streams.
Partnership Enablement: Execute all aspects of partner management to motivate partners to expand their business with Oyster. Continuously evaluate partnership portfolios and make data-driven recommendations for adjustments, improvements, and strategic expansions that drive demand and accelerate growth.
Core Requirements
Partnership Experience: 5+ years of experience in partnership management, business development, or strategic alliances, with a proven track record of building and scaling successful B2B partnerships that drive revenue growth.
Relationship Building: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust and maintain relationships with C-level executives, decision-makers, and stakeholders across multiple organizations and internal teams.
Strategic Thinking: Strong analytical and strategic planning capabilities with experience developing go-to-market strategies, identifying growth opportunities, and translating market insights into actionable partnership initiatives.
Communication Excellence: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present to senior leadership, create compelling partnership proposals, and negotiate complex agreements.
Results-Driven Mindset: Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets, with experience managing partnership pipelines and driving measurable business outcomes.
Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining attention to detail and managing multiple partnerships simultaneously.
