About this role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Coordinator to support our payroll operations. In this role, you'll assist in processing payroll accurately and on time, maintain meticulous payroll records, and ensure compliance with relevant tax and wage laws. You will also serve as a key point of contact for employee payroll inquiries and help communicate updates related to payroll and company changes. The ideal candidate will bring discretion, adaptability, and a high level of professionalism to manage confidential information in a fast-paced environment.
What you’ll do
- Payroll Processing & Administration
- Enter, audit, and verify payroll-related data in the payroll systems to support timely and accurate payroll runs
- Collaborate with the payroll manager to review payroll data for accuracy and resolve discrepancies
- Ensure timesheet compliance with internal policies
- Maintain accurate payroll records to meet audit and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate employee data updates with the Total Rewards team, including benefit deductions and compensation changes
- Address and resolve employee payroll concerns efficiently and professionally
- Compliance & Reporting
- Help prepare and distribute payroll reports for internal stakeholders and auditors
- Support compliance with all federal, state, and local wage and tax laws
- Assist with year-end processing tasks, including W-2 reconciliation and distribution
- Employee Support & Communication
- Provide direct support to employees regarding payroll issues, tax updates, and pay statements
- Help employees with setting up direct deposit, using the self-service portal, and updating tax withholdings
- Communicate payroll policies and company changes clearly and proactively to employees
What we’re looking for
- Bachelor’s degree (Finance or Accounting preferred)
- 1-3 years of payroll experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now and/or Workday preferred
- Ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical, teamwork and organizational skills
- Positive, enthusiastic energy with a desire to learn
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Proven ability to manage confidential information with integrity
- Capacity to adapt to shifting priorities and thrive under pressure
As a remote, hourly position, the pay for this role is:
- $29.00-$33.65/hour
Total Rewards
Individual compensation packages are based on a few different factors unique to each candidate, including primary work location and an evaluation of a candidate’s skills, experience, market demands, and internal equity.
Salary is just one component of Transcarent's total package. All regular employees are also eligible for the corporate bonus program or a sales incentive (target included in OTE) as well as stock options.

Location
You must be authorized to work in the United States. Depending on the position we may have a preference to a specific location, but are generally open to remote work anywhere in the US.
