About the Role

We are seeking a Principal Networking Engineer to design and implement robust, high-performance networks that support Fluidstack's global AI deployments. You will be responsible for ensuring network scalability, security, and efficiency to meet the demands of our customer’s AI workloads.

Focus

  • Design and deploy network architectures, including RDMA (IB and RoCE v2), Ethernet LAN, and WAN.

  • Implement network security measures and protocols, including managing multi-tenant networks.

  • Optimize performance of Ethernet and IB networks.

  • Collaborate with other infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration.

  • Stay abreast of emerging networking technologies and best practices.

About You

  • 7+ years of experience in network architecture and engineering.

  • Deep understanding of L1-3 network design as well as RDMA network topologies.

  • Experience with network hardware (e.g., Mellanox, Arista, etc.) and Network OSes (Cumulus, SoNIC, etc.); software-defined networking experience is a plus.

  • Experience developing automation tools for ZTP, monitoring, and remediation.

  • Experience with common routing protocols  (BGP, ISIS, OSPF).

  • Experience with encapsulation protocols (EVPN/VXLAN, Geneve).

  • Experience with Kubernetes CNIs (Calico and/or Cilium).

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

  • Certifications like CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA are a nice to have.
