About Float

Float is on a mission to simplify finance for Canadian businesses, empowering them to eliminate complexity and unlock new opportunities. Through our innovative platform, Float enables businesses to streamline financial operations and optimize cash flow, so they can focus on what matters most: growth.

As one of Canada’s fastest growing companies and top-rated startups in 2024 and 2023, Float is customer-obsessed, passionate and entrepreneurial, with a team that includes leaders from Uber, Shopify, Top Hat, TouchBistro, and Ada.

At Float, everyone is an owner, bringing their unique perspective to our team and product. Your voice is important, and we take having a culture based on feedback seriously. We openly share our thoughts and differing opinions so we can continue to improve. We do our best to keep our decision-making decentralized so that all team members feel ownership in our success.

Our Product

Float is Canada's complete business finance platform, combining modern financial services and software to help businesses spend, save, and grow. Trusted by 4,000 Canadian companies, Float provides high-limit corporate cards, automated expense management, next-day bill payments, high-yield accounts and fast, friendly support—all built in Canada, for Canada. Float is backed by world-class venture and fintech investors, including Growth Equity at Goldman Sachs Alternatives and OMERS Ventures, partners behind our $70 million Series B raise

Our team is a collection of ambitious, collaborative and mission-driven people from all walks of life but with one goal: helping Canadian companies not just survive but thrive. And we’re looking for bold innovators to help shape the future of business finance in Canada.

We're open to a range of titles for the right candidate -- whether that's VP, SVP, or Chief Revenue Officer -- depending on experience and fit. This role is senior and strategic, but we care more about impact and capability than titles. If you have a strong track record of driving revenue growth and leading go-to-market teams, we want to hear from you.

Opportunity for Impact

Reporting to the CEO/Founder Rob Khazzam, this role will be responsible for driving Float’s revenue growth, strategy and execution, across pre-sales (BDR, AE) and Post-Sales (AM, IM, CSM, etc) You will directly oversee Float’s most material business metrics, including Bookings, CAC, CAC Payback and Net Revenue Realization (NRR), while operating as a “P&L owner” responsible for maximizing return on Float’s total revenue footprint.

You will have three direct “Head of” reports (and their respective orgs) and your mission is to ensure Float grows revenue by multiples each year, not increments. You will own revenue end-to-end at one of the fastest growing fintechs in the world, and the accompanying visibility, accountability, and canvas on which you will ideate and execute transformative business strategies excites you.

What You’ll Do:

  • Be a Float Ambassador: You will personally be involved in selling Float to key customers. More importantly, you will define and refine how to best sell our product and pitch customers, providing front-line Sales staff with clear direction.

  • Sell to the Right Audience: You know how to navigate mid-market and SMB segments with efficiency and impact.

  • Lead with Data & First Principles Thinking: Too many revenue leaders outsource analytics. You will have a deep grasp of our revenue data, sales data, funnel, and conversion dynamics, making decisive, high-impact moves daily to drive performance.

  • Develop a Multi-Year Revenue Strategy: You will own the development of a multi-year revenue strategy, balancing near-term focus with long-term strategic development, including unlocking new revenue streams, customer acquisition channels, etc.

  • Build & Systemize Sales & Post-Sales Execution: Establish repeatable, data-driven revenue playbooks that optimize every stage of the funnel—from prospecting to closing to activation to growth.

  • Drive Consumption & Activation: Closing deals isn’t enough—customer activation and payment volume growth are what drive revenue at Float. You will build a team that understands this and optimizes for usage, not just signups.

  • Own and Optimize Pre- and Post-Sales Strategy: Oversee leaders / managers across both outbound and inbound sales, pipeline conversion, and sales team efficiency. You will hire, build, and coach a high-performance team that wins in a competitive market.

Who You Are:

  • Startup Veteran: You’ve scaled revenue at fast-growing, venture-backed companies, driving aggressive market expansion.

  • Strategic Systems Thinker: You build playbooks, not just push pipelines. You create repeatable, scalable processes that drive consistent results using first-principles thinking, deep data fluency, and decisive execution. You have an outstanding grasp of revenue realization in a consumption / interchange driven business model.

  • Elite Executor: You don’t crumble under ambitious goals—you thrive in them. You embrace pressure, urgency, and accountability to deliver results. You set the pace.

  • Innovator, not Traditionalist: You know that modern sales leadership isn’t just about motivation—it’s about leveraging software, automation, and scalable systems to drive results.

  • Customer Obsession: You understand that revenue is tied to product usage—not just closed deals. Experience in consumption-based or usage-driven revenue models is a must.

  • B2B-Focused: You have a strong track record of selling to businesses with 50-1000 employees and navigating mid-market deal cycles. Strong bonus if you’ve sold to and served B2B finance teams and understand the world of accounting and ERPs.

  • Global Mindset: While we are a Canadian company, our operational excellence, pace, and ambition allow us to pioneer new markets. Candidates with experience at leading fintechs or high-growth B2B companies will bring the competitive edge we are looking for.

Why is this role so exciting?

  • Aggressive Growth – We are not here for incremental wins. We aim to scale revenue by multiples each year and need a leader who can make it happen.

  • P&L Ownership - Float empowers senior leaders to operate with a P&L mindset, driving total ROI on investments with the ability to make clear business cases to support strategic growth and drive them end-to-end.

  • High Impact Role – You will have full ownership of Float’s revenue engine and build a category-defining sales motion.

  • Performance-Driven Culture – No bureaucracy, no slow decision-making. Execution speed and impact matter most.

If you’re ready to lead at hypergrowth speed, build a modern, scalable sales machine, and drive transformational revenue growth, let’s talk.

Why You Should Join

  • Work at one of Canada's fastest-growing fintech companies

  • Make a real impact in a high-autonomy, high-growth role

  • Collaborate with an ambitious and supportive team

  • Competitive compensation, equity options, and benefits

  • Hybrid work model – we are based in Toronto with in-office days for connection and collaboration

  • Enjoy catered team lunches every Tuesday and Wednesday

  • Bring your pup to our dog-friendly office

  • Thrive in a high-trust, high-performance culture where your work truly matters

In Short

At Float, you’ll thrive if you’re bold, curious, and eager to make a real impact. We're building something special—and having a lot of fun along the way. If you’re excited to build, grow, and win together, we’d love to meet you.
