Role Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled SAP Technical Architect with deep expertise in SAP ABAP development and a strong understanding of SAP Finance (FI/CO) module architecture. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing and supporting robust, scalable, and future-ready SAP solutions, particularly in preparation for and during the transition to SAP S/4HANA. This role involves close collaboration with business stakeholders, functional teams, and technical developers to deliver high-quality solutions that align with enterprise architecture and business strategy.
What You Will Do
- Define and maintain the technical architecture for SAP Finance (FI/CO, Asset Accounting, Tax, AP/AR), SAP Supply Chain and associated Backoffice applications.
- Design integration strategies across SAP and non-SAP systems, ensuring system interoperability, data consistency, and performance.
- ABAP Development and support key RICEFW controls across SAP application stack.
- Contribute to the definition of future-state architecture to support S/4HANA readiness and adoption.
- Evaluate current SAP ECC architecture and identify key modernization and migration pathways.
- Lead technical assessments and discovery phases for projects and a SAP S/4HANA migration.
- Identify custom code impacts and contribute to simplification and clean-up strategies.
- Support Proof of Concepts (PoCs), sandbox environments, and brownfield/greenfield implementation planning.
- Collaborate with BASIS and infrastructure teams to ensure system readiness and performance.
- Work with SAP functional leads, developers, and project managers to deliver high-quality project deliverables on time.
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical designs and coordinate end-to-end delivery.
- Act as the escalation point for complex SAP Finance technical issues and performance challenges.
- Provide post-implementation support and ongoing improvements for SAP Finance solutions.
What You Will Bring
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in SAP technical architecture with a strong focus on SAP Finance (FI/CO).
- 5+ years of hands-on SAP ABAP development experience including Object-Oriented ABAP, ALV, BAPIs, BADIs, User Exits, Enhancements, Reports, Interfaces, and Forms.
- Solid understanding of SAP ECC Finance architecture and data structures.
- Experience with SAP modernization tools: SAP Readiness Check, Custom Code Analyzer, etc.
- Knowledge of integration with other SAP modules (MM, SD, PM, etc.).
- Experience with SAP Cloud Platform, BTP, or CPI integration tools.
- Familiarity with SAP Activate methodology and agile delivery practices.
- SAP certifications (e.g., SAP Certified Development Associate – ABAP, SAP S/4HANA & Finance).
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in various bank automation systems.
- Skilled in cross-module integration involving SAP Finance, Controlling, and logistics functions.
- Ability to bridge functional and technical conversations with ease.
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently or as part of a global team.
- Familiarity with Fiori applications, CDS views, OData services, and RAP (Restful ABAP Programming).
- Demonstrable experience in at least one SAP S/4HANA project (greenfield, brownfield, or system conversion) including S/4 discovery phase.
