About Elicit
Elicit is an AI research assistant that uses language models to help researchers figure out what’s true and make better decisions. Our mission is to radically increase good reasoning. Elicit helps expert researchers push the frontier of what's possible in fields like biomedicine, health economics, and computer science.
With strong product-market fit, hundreds of thousands of users, and significant inbound from leading enterprise research teams, we’re at a critical inflection point. Now, we’re hiring a Senior Account Executive to help turn that interest into impact—and shape the future of how AI supports high-stakes research.
Why This Role Matters
We’ve built a product researchers love and begun landing initial enterprise deals with world-class organizations. You’ll be the most senior seller on the team, partnering directly with our founders and product team to define how we land and expand in enterprise environments, especially in complex, research-driven domains like life sciences, biotech, and pharma.
What You’ll Do
Own the full sales cycle for key enterprise opportunities from discovery through demo, proposal, negotiation, and close
Run highly consultative processes: understand customer pain points, map workflows, and co-develop solutions
Tailor the value proposition to technical audiences (e.g. researchers, data scientists, lab directors)
Help expand existing accounts: land pilot deals and build relationships to drive growth within large orgs
Partner closely with product and engineering to share feedback, unblock pilots, and influence the roadmap
Support junior team members and contribute to building a high-quality, repeatable sales motion
The skills & experiences we’re looking for
You operate at the frontier – Whether through consulting, product work, or building something from scratch, you’ve navigated ambiguity and complexity where the playbook didn’t exist. You ask sharp questions and think from first principles.
You’re fluent in complexity – Our users are scientists, economists, and analysts. You enjoy the challenge of understanding how they work, spotting patterns in their needs, and mapping that to product value—even when it’s not obvious.
You bring strategic depth and client empathy – You’ve worked in roles that demand critical thinking, cross-functional alignment, and comfort in high-stakes conversations. You balance long-term vision with execution.
You’re genuinely curious about science and research – You’re energized by learning how researchers work, especially in fields like life sciences, biotech, pharma, or academia.
You thrive in zero-to-one environments – You move fast, build scrappy, and take initiative to create structure where none exists. You’re excited to help build not just sales motions, but a whole new category.
You’ve consistently exceeded targets – In previous roles, you’ve not only hit quota, you’ve helped define how success is measured. You know what it takes to turn early traction into a repeatable motion.
You care deeply about good reasoning – Our mission is to scale up high-quality reasoning. That shows up in how you make decisions, how you communicate, and how you treat customers—with honesty, nuance, and care.
Bonus Experience
Background in scientific research, biotech/pharma, or R&D tools
Experience selling horizontal SaaS tools or AI platforms
Familiarity with product-led growth motions or land-and-expand sales
Experience mentoring junior sellers or collaborating cross-functionally on sales ops/enablement
