M9 Solutions is seeking a Senior Consultant to work remotely on a government contract for a client located in Washington, DC. An active Secret clearance is required.
Responsibilities
- Support and strengthen internal controls by conducting assessments, documenting processes, and ensuring compliance with established standards.
- Assist with financial statement audits, including preparing audit documentation, coordinating responses, and supporting audit readiness activities.
- Contribute to risk management and compliance programs, ensuring policies and processes align with organizational objectives.
- Execute internal controls and substantive testing procedures to validate compliance and effectiveness of control activities.
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to communicate findings, provide recommendations, and deliver high-quality reports and documentation.
- Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement through strong teamwork, clear communication, and proactive problem-solving.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required.
- Active Secret clearance.
- Experience with internal controls, financial statement audit, audit response, and audit readiness.
- Experience with root cause analysis, implementation, monitoring and validation is preferable.
- Experience performing internal controls and substantive testing procedures is preferable.
- Must be a strong team player and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
