About the Role

At KOHO, our Senior Data Analysts are strategic partners who transform raw information into actionable business impact. We're seeking an experienced analyst who thrives at the intersection of technical expertise and marketing strategy to join our data team. In this role, you'll own the marketing analytics domain within our fintech ecosystem, turning complex marketing data into pipelines and clear narratives that drive decision-making at all levels. The ideal candidate is both technically proficient and marketing-savvy, equally comfortable optimizing a complex SQL query as they are presenting campaign insights to marketing teams.

What You'll Do

  • Own the marketing analytics domain: integrating data requirements into project planning, collaborate with marketing teams and cross-functional partners, building pipelines and dashboards for campaign analysis, customer acquisition, and marketing performance measurement

  • Design and optimize data models with a strong focus on performance, leveraging advanced DBT features independently

  • Develop dashboards that go beyond visualization to answer critical business questions and support strategic decision-making

  • Analyze marketing campaign performance, measure program effectiveness, support audience creation initiatives, and provide insights across various marketing channels and initiatives

  • Proactively identify trends and opportunities through deep data analysis, thinking beyond immediate requests to uncover additional relevant insights

  • Partner with stakeholders to refine requirements, offering data-driven recommendations that align with business priorities and maximize impact

  • Autonomously own project planning and participate in cross-functional domain ownership

  • Mentor team members and contribute to establishing best practices within the data organization

Who You Are

  • You have 5+ years of experience in data roles

  • You can write, review and enhance SQL queries with a strong focus on code performance

  • You demonstrate advanced expertise in DBT, independently implementing complex features and understanding shared team pipelines

  • You have strong version control skills with Git, efficiently analyzing code history and reviewing PRs for quality and performance

  • You are a strong data storyteller: you can adapt communication to different audiences and clearly articulate recommendations that connect technical work to strategic business outcomes

  • You proactively identify work that should be prioritized based on business needs and collaborate effectively with stakeholders across domains

  • You have general marketing data knowledge including customer journey mapping, attribution modeling, retention/churn analysis, marketing mix modeling, and A/B testing methodologies

A bonus if you have experience or an interest in any of the following!

  • You are DBT certified

  • Financial industry experience

  • Track record of driving process improvements and implementing data governance standards

  • Previous experience with marketing platforms and tools for analysis or data projects

  • Experience with audience segmentation and marketing campaign measurement

  • Background in experimental design, control group methodology, or marketing attribution
