Role Description & Mission:
Agero is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to spearhead the development of secure cloud infrastructure and optimize our cloud application operations. In this pivotal role, you'll be instrumental in automating all manual tasks, from code build and deployment to data processing, establishing robust Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) frameworks.
You'll serve as a crucial liaison between our application development and infrastructure teams, leveraging cloud APIs to significantly enhance system performance and stability monitoring. A key part of your contribution will involve driving troubleshooting efforts across multiple applications and creating comprehensive runbooks for repeatable tasks, ensuring operational efficiency and reliability.
Key Outcomes:
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Automation: Defining, provisioning, and managing cloud infrastructure using code; automating repetitive tasks.
- Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD): Implementing pipelines for automated build, testing, and deployment.
- Monitoring and Logging: Establishing systems to track application and infrastructure performance, and setting up alerts.
- Security and Compliance: Ensuring infrastructure and applications adhere to security best practices and compliance standards.
- Collaboration and Communication: Facilitating smooth collaboration between development and operations teams, and with other stakeholders.
Skills, Education & Experience:
EDUCATION:
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
EXPERIENCE:
- 3+ years of DevOps experience
- 1+ year of software development experience
- 3+ years of experience in building CI/CD pipelines
- 3+ years of experience supporting production environments
- 2+ years of experience running Terraform
- 5+ years of cloud experience with AWS
- 2+ years of cloud experience with GCP
- Proficiency in scripting languages (UNIX, Shell, Python)
Nice to have:
- Database experience: Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Data Dog
- Knowledge of Git
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies including Scrum and Kanban
- Knowledge of AWS Serverless Framework

The base salary range presented represents the anticipated low and high end salary range for new hires in this position. Your final base salary will be determined based on factors such as work location, experience, job related skills, and relevant training and education.
