About the role:
Ironclad is hiring a Senior Director of GTM FP&A to lead financial planning, forecasting, and strategic insights across our Go-to-Market (GTM) functions—Sales, Marketing, and Customer Outcomes. This role reports to the VP of FP&A and sits within the Finance organization under the CFO, acting as a key business partner to GTM leadership and a critical driver of Ironclad’s continued revenue growth.
As Ironclad continues to scale from a strong mid-market foundation into the enterprise, you will help guide GTM investment strategy, support complex sales motions, and enable our next stage of growth through strong financial modeling, analysis, and operational rigor.
What you’ll be doing:
Lead financial planning, forecasting, and reporting for all GTM functions, including ARR modeling, bookings, revenue, headcount, and pipeline capacity.
Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Outcomes to develop data-driven financial insights that drive strategic decision-making.
Build and evolve models to support Ironclad’s shift into upmarket/enterprise while maintaining efficiency across our mid-market business.
Collaborate with GTM Operations and People teams to plan headcount and hiring pacing, analyze sales productivity, and align compensation with revenue targets.
Create and deliver executive-ready dashboards and financial narratives for leadership, board meetings, and business reviews.
Provide forward-looking analysis on GTM performance, resource allocation, budget-to-actuals variance, and scenario planning.
Support annual planning, quarterly forecasts, and long-range models with segmentation by GTM motion (mid-market vs. enterprise).
Develop, coach, and scale a team of high-performing GTM finance professionals.
Identify opportunities to improve financial systems, automate workflows, and refine planning processes to support scale.
What we're looking for:
12+ years of experience in strategic finance, FP&A, consulting, or investment banking, ideally with direct experience supporting GTM teams in high-growth SaaS businesses.
Strong command of SaaS metrics including ARR, CAC, LTV, churn, pipeline coverage, upsell/expansion, and GTM efficiency.
Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and partner cross-functionally with GTM, RevOps, and Finance stakeholders.
Advanced financial modeling skills and experience building robust reporting frameworks that support scalable growth.
Proficiency in Excel and experience with financial planning systems such as Anaplan, Adaptive Insights, or Planful; working knowledge of Salesforce, NetSuite, and BI tools (Looker, Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA preferred.
Benefits:
Health, dental, and vision insurance
401k
Wellness reimbursement
Take what you need vacation policy
Generous parental leave for both primary and secondary caregivers
