What you’ll do
Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for Connected Services offerings at Scout, including Satellite Connectivity. Ensure the competitiveness of the product offering by measuring KPIs and customer satisfaction.
- Drive and coordinate cross-functional stakeholders to build, launch, and profitability operate the Scout Connected Services offers.
- In collaboration with product marketing & digital products, conduct an analysis of the leading connected services partners & work with the Purchasing team to develop and launch an RFQ for supplier selection.
- Define & manage the Connected Services portfolio of products including charging services, vehicle connectivity, in-vehicle Wi-Fi, streaming, SOS call, & navigation services.
- Benchmark the competitive set & conduct consumer research to understand customer expectations and requirements for connected services.
- Define the pricing strategy for connected services offerings including end-user pricing for various package tiers as well as the embedded trial length & offer. Develop a detailed business case to support the overall profitability of the business.
- Define KPIs to measure customer utilization, customer satisfaction, and overall product effectiveness. Work with the data analytics team to develop dashboards to monitor these KPIs over time.
- Monitor emerging trends and ensure that Scout’s Connected Services are always at the forefront of the industry.
- Manage the lifecycle of Connected Services, from concept ideation to execution and production. Ensure proper budgets are set for the annual planning round, while adjusting revenue forecasts as market conditions evolve.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Product, JV, and IT teams to ensure hardware requirements are met and digital solutions are integrated seamlessly.
- Serve as the primary interface and Subject Matter Expert between multiple stakeholders and align teams with the company’s overall strategic objectives.
- Develop a project plan to ensure the commercialization of Connected Services, including partnerships, offers, equipment, & support is aligned to the vehicle’s milestones & launch timing.
- In collaboration with Scout Accessories, Product Management, and Digital Products, develop a Satellite Connectivity strategy and partnership to enable off-grid connectivity of Scout vehicles.
- Collaborate with Scout Customer Support to anticipate customer Connected Services questions and issues, preparing thorough documentation for scaled problem-solving utilization by Customer Support agents.
- Build and maintain relationships with Mobile Network Operators (MNOs); in collaboration with Scout Purchasing & the Rivian/VW Tech JV, lead the vendor selection process that results in high quality, reliable, and cost-effective supplier-provided services.
Location & Travel Expectations:
- This role will based out of the future Scout Motors headquarters. This role is not eligible for remote work in New York City.
- The responsibilities of this role require occasional attendance at in-person meetings and events.
- Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or another relevant field.
- 10+ years of experience developing and managing OEM Connected Services relationships and consumer offers.
- 5+ years of managing vendor relationships related to Connected Services, with a demonstrated success in defining a customer journey and delivering high customer and vendor satisfaction.
- Broad base of Connected Services industry and technical knowledge and an extensive network of industry contacts across a variety of MNOs and service providers. Current knowledge of trends in this space.
- Customer-first mindset, always thinking from the point of view of a Scout customer.
- Demonstrated ability to map customer and employee journeys and collaborate with digital designers and other stakeholders to bring these experiences to life through mobile applications, websites, and in-vehicle interactions.
- Strong project management mindset and a track record of defining complex projects and seeing them through to completion, managing teams through influence and using tools such as JIRA/Confluence.
- Proven track record of building a high-performing team and developing a positive team culture.
- Mindfulness of organizational navigation and ability to create effective cross-functional collaboration at all levels.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.

Pay Transparency
This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.
Initial base salary range = $140,000.00 - $170,000.00
