Job Description

EvenUp is on a mission to close the justice gap using technology and AI. We empower personal injury lawyers and victims to get the justice they deserve. Our products enable law firms to secure faster settlements, higher payouts, and better outcomes for victims injured through no fault of their own in vehicle collisions, accidents, natural disasters, and more.

We are one of the fastest-growing vertical SaaS companies in history, and we are just getting started. EvenUp is backed by top VCs, including Bessemer Venture Partners, Bain Capital Ventures, SignalFire, and Lightspeed. We are looking to expand our team with talented, driven, and collaborative individuals who seek to have a lasting impact. Learn more at www.evenuplaw.com.

We are seeking exceptional professionals who are dedicated to upholding and establishing the highest level of written medical analyses for injury victims throughout the U.S. to join our Medical Operation team. The Senior Medical Operations Associate will be responsible for organizing, crafting, and verifying the accuracy of EvenUp's medical chronologies in alignment with the medical records and bills provided.

What you'll do:

  • Organize Documents to Create a Personal Injury Medical Chronology: Gather all related documents for each file, match them by content, and systematically arrange them to ensure well-structured and organized exhibits.

  • Analyze Medical Records in a Legal Context: Engage in extensive medical analysis for a legal purpose. You will be responsible for gaining a comprehensive understanding of an injured victim’s past and current medical treatment.

  • Draft Comprehensive Personal Injury Medical Chronologies: After completing an evaluation, it is your responsibility to generate a thorough medical chronology that can be used in a personal injury claim, encompassing all treatment dates extracted from the provided records and relevant medical details.

  • Quality Assurance of Summaries: Analyzing the generated medical summaries to ensure all relevant medical details are included and to verify the accuracy and precision of all referenced information.

  • Research Medical Abbreviations: Analysis of abbreviated terms found in medical records and identifying the corresponding unabbreviated terms within the appropriate medical context. You will be tasked with replacing abbreviated terms with their unabbreviated counterparts in the medical chronology.

  • Review and Quality Assurance of Personal Injury Medical Chronologies: Proactively assess and ensure the quality of medical chronologies in outgoing documents.

What we look for:

  • Expertise in Medical and Legal Documentation: Strong skills in analyzing medical records, bills, and related documents that are used in a personal injury claim. An understanding of how medical evidence supports personal injury claims.

  • Experience in Medical Analysis: A background of 4+ years in personal injury, nursing, counseling, and/or a related medical/legal field, with significant experience in preparing medical chronologies used for personal injury claims.

  • Comprehensive Understanding of Personal Injury Law: An understanding of how medical information is utilized in personal injury law across various states.

  • Attention to Detail: An unwavering attention to detail in analyzing and presenting information.

  • Strong Writing and Articulation: Proficient in writing, spelling, and possessing excellent grammar skills.

  • Efficiency: Ability to work quickly and efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.

  • Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently.

  • Adherence to Deadlines: Must be capable of consistently meeting deadlines.

  • Flexibility & Adaptability: Ability to adjust to changing priorities throughout the day.

  • Collaboration & Teamwork: Experience working with virtual teams and contributing to a positive remote work culture.

  • Growth Mindset: Open to receiving feedback, strives for continuous improvement, and takes pride in your work.
