Protegrity is seeking a passionate and talented Senior Technical Trainer to join our Technical Training/Learning and Enablement team.

This job is for you if:

You enjoy turning complex technical concepts into clear, engaging learning experiences. As a Senior Technical Trainer, you’ll spend your day collaborating with product managers, engineers, and subject matter experts to analyze training needs, design and develop content, and deliver impactful sessions. A key part of your role will be leading virtual instructor-led training (vILT) classes, where your ability to connect with learners remotely is just as important as your technical expertise.

You’ll also create polished PowerPoint presentations, design the overall learning experience, and develop exercises and knowledge checks that help learners practice and retain what they’ve learned. Whether you're configuring lab environments, updating certification paths, or recording how-to videos, you’ll be at the center of enabling others to succeed with Protegrity’s technology.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze training needs and collaborate with Learning & Enablement, Support, Product Managers, and subject matter experts to design and develop training content.

  • Develop and deliver Protegrity Product training for customers, partners, prospects, and employees.

  • Design and develop training content for multiple delivery formats, including instructor-led sessions, e-learning modules, and video tutorials for self-paced learning.

  • Install and configure needed software and applications for training programs.

  • Setup and test lab environments that will be used for demos and hands-on exercises.

  • Ensure quality assurance of e-learning content.

  • Participate in training and earn certifications as assigned by the training manager.

  • Build solution-based training programs using real-world use cases, examples, and demos.

  • Create presentations, demo instructions, exercises, handouts, and job aids.

  • Review and update training material regularly.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for Protegrity products.

  • Develop how-to video tutorials for software applications.

In addition to the qualifications a successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • 5 + years of experience in corporate technical training.

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

  • High proficiency and expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint and SharePoint.

  • 2 + years of experience creating scripts, voice-overs, and video tutorials using tools like Camtasia.

  • Experience designing blended learning programs, including instructor-led and computer-based training.

  • Ability to understand complex technical information and communicate the information to people with diverse professional backgrounds.

  • Proficiency with command-line interfaces, particularly in Linux environments, for tasks such as software setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.

  • Broad knowledge of data security, privacy technologies, and related tools and utilities.

  • Experience and working knowledge of programming languages, particularly Java, Python, along with strong proficiency in SQL for data-related tasks.

  • Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.

  • Strong working knowledge of Linux and database systems such as Teradata and Oracle.

  • Familiarity with web services technologies and data formats such as REST, SOAP, XML, and JSON.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience developing e-learning modules using Adobe Captivate.

  • Hands-on experience with Protegrity customer implementations.

  • Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Understanding of adult learning principals and instructional design best practices.

  • Experience leveraging modeling content development tools, including GenAI or similar technologies, to streamline and enhance training creation.

  • AWS Associate-level certification.

Working Model:

  • This is a hybrid role and will require you to be in office 2-3 days a week. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
