Job Description

Mirantis is adding a Technical Account Manager to our team!  The TAM  has the ability to perform many diverse and challenging tasks and the ability to use theoretical and practical knowledge based on  experience to drive positive outcomes to their assigned client clouds. The TAM will act as trusted advisor to key clients, partnering with them through the life of their project and will develop a deep understanding of the client environment workflow and goals. TAM’s  will partner internally with support, sales, marketing, product and services to address client concerns. 

Main Responsibilities

  • Work with our largest and most strategic clients to help identify, quantify and track key performance indicators and SLA’s

  • Conduct Quarterly Business Review (QBR)

  • Track and present weekly operations meeting

  • Make product and strategic recommendation(s) to client and internally 

  • Support and refinement of company-wide operations

  • Build the customer relationship, address day-to-day questions

  • Resolve escalation issues, communicate customer needs internally to influence business priorities

  • Proactively troubleshoot private cloud deployments based on OpenStack, Kubernetes, and other cloud technologies, detect and report issues

  • Reproduce customer issues in the internal lab, confirm bug reports, provide detailed information to the development team

  • Provide engineering support with product issues escalated by the L1/L2 support teams.

Qualifications

General 

  • Four year college degree preferred

CSM

  • 5+ years customer success experience

  • This role requires a high level of organization, exceptional communication skills, and an ability to adjust with our fast-paced organization

  • General understanding of project management, PMP certification or alternate a bonus

Engineering

  • Expert Linux system administration and troubleshooting skills

  • Expert understanding of networking concepts and protocols

  • Expert understanding of OpenStack components

  • Ability to read and understand Python, Ruby code; good Shell scripting skills

  • Good knowledge of virtualization solutions (libvirt, KVM, VMWare)

  • Good knowledge of network and distributed storage solutions (iSCSl, Ceph)

  • Knowledge of Ubuntu MaaS

  • Experience working w/ and maintaining large Python codebases

  • Experience w/ Linux HA (corosync, pacemaker)

  • Experience w/ databases and message brokers (MySQL, Galera, PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ, InfluxDB, ElasticSearch, Cassandra, Zookeeper)

  • Experience with configuring, customizing, and extending monitoring tools (Grafana, Kibana, Nagios, Prometheus)

  • Experience working configuration management tools (Puppet, Chef, Salt, Ansible, Cobbler, MCollective
