Job Description
Our Fortune 100 financial services client is seeking a Technology Project Manager to play a pivotal role in ensuring alignment across the organization, external vendors, product teams, and stakeholders, presenting a unified approach to clients. As a client-facing project lead, the Project Manager provides oversight to vendors’ delivery of the project for clients and manages expectations and escalations while collaborating with product, technology, and cross-functional teams.
Success in this role requires deep expertise in payments, technical delivery, process management, and the software delivery lifecycle (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid). Key competencies include leadership, ownership, client empathy, integrity, and communication, along with strong knowledge of modern industry practices such as cloud, microservices, distributed architecture, infrastructure, and DevOps. The PM will ensure that all parties deliver high-quality results according to requirements and project plans.

- Location: Remote (must be able to work across multiple US time zones)
- Duration: Approximately a 6-to-9-month consulting role through Blend360 with the possibility of extension

What you’ll do:
Project Delivery Leadership:
- Ensure successful delivery of client technical implementations in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Operate independently as technical lead for projects of any size and manage one or more projects simultaneously.
- Work with stakeholders to develop, track, and coordinate project milestones and deliverables.
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure adherence to project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, both internal and external.
Technical and Planning Oversight:
- Collaborate with client stakeholders, the vendor project team, and internal teams to define the project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Develop and implement robust technical project governance and risk management frameworks.
- Oversee project deliverables to ensure alignment with project goals and best practices.
- Facilitate technical discussions, problem-solving, and decision-making as needed.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Change Management:
- Liaise among multiple internal teams and vendor teams to provide unified client experience.
- Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate change management processes.
- Ensure that all changes are documented and communicated to stakeholders.
- Coordinate with vendors or third-party service providers as required.
- Manage contracts and SOWs and ensure timely delivery of external dependencies.
- Monitor and track monthly time utilization of vendor resources.
Qualifications
- Computer Science or Equivalent Engineering Graduate Degree
- 10+ years of experience with a minimum of 6 years as a Technical Lead or Project Manager, with hands-on technical experience
- Proficiency and certification in project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, etc.)
- Strong understanding and experience in program/ project management and software delivery lifecycle (SDLC)
- Software Release Management and deployment experience
- Working knowledge of J2EE framework, REST/API framework, Cloud infra, micro services and distributed architecture, Digital Channel development (mobile/web)
- Large enterprise technology solution delivery experience
- Payment domain experience including but not limited to money movement, dispute/pre-dispute, installments, workflow orchestration, core banking, etc. for consumer, small business and commercial clients
- Effective communication and presentation skills
- Experience demonstrating strong leadership, resource management, self-motivation, accountability, and team player
- Ability to interpret technical documentation and communicate with technical teams.
Additional Information
The starting pay range for this role is $65.00-70.00 per hour. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent on several factors including but not limited to relevant experience, skills, certifications, training, and location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range and determining factors for compensation are considered for each individual circumstance.
