About Satispay
Satispay was born to revolutionise everyday payments – making them simple, fair, and accessible to everyone. Now, the focus has moved even further, aiming to shape the future of money.
We're a movement empowering millions of people, driven by a shared purpose to tackle big challenges. And we’re just getting started. We move quickly, think boldly, and trust each other to challenge the norm, learning and growing as we go.
If you’re looking for more than just your next job – if you want to build something impactful with a talented team – you’re in the right place.
What you’ll be doing
As a Transaction Monitoring Engineer, you will join the CISO's team and play a crucial role in safeguarding Satispay’s ecosystem. Your primary responsibility will be to build and refine our transaction monitoring capabilities using the Splunk platform. Reporting to the CISO and working as the primary technical partner to the Head of Fraud Prevention, you will translate strategic detection requirements into effective, real-time alerts. You are the hands-on expert who turns our defense strategy into a reality, playing a crucial role in safeguarding Satispay’s ecosystem from financial crime risks. Here’s what your day-to-day will look like:
Translate Strategy into Code – Translate detection strategies and requirements from the Head of Fraud Prevention into robust, efficient, and automated monitoring rules within Splunk. You will be the hands-on expert turning strategic concepts into live alerts.
Enhance Monitoring Use Cases – Implement and refine detection logic for various risk scenarios, including new customer onboarding, velocity spikes, account takeovers, and sophisticated fraud patterns.
Collaborate for Effective Solutions – Work closely with the FinCrime Operations Department to understand their requirements, support investigations, and ensure alerts are actionable and integrated into their workflows.
Ensure Data Integrity and Accessibility – Monitor data ingestion from all sources in near real-time, ensuring the timeliness and completeness of the data that fuels our Splunk engine.
Support Compliance and Audits: Maintain clear, exportable documentation of rule logic and data flows to ensure transparency and support explanations to auditors and regulators.
Drive Timely Alerting – Ensure the system promptly generates alerts when a rule's conditions are met, empowering our teams to act quickly.
Expect challenges, collaboration, and the freedom to bring your ideas to life. Things change quickly here, so be ready to adapt, take initiative, and shape your role as we grow.
Who we’re looking for
We need a problem-solver who loves teamwork and gets things done. If you're curious and ready for real ownership, you'll fit in! Does this sound like you?
3+ years of experience – Proven experience in the same role, specifically focused on transaction monitoring and financial crime detection, ideally within fintech, banking, or other regulated environments.
Hands-on Experience with Splunk: Proven experience in using Splunk for data analysis, and specifically for creating complex queries, alerts, and dashboards for transaction monitoring.
Data-Driven and Analytical: Capable of breaking down complex problems into manageable tasks and logical rules, with experience handling large and diverse datasets.
Collaborative Mindset: Ability to work closely and effectively with other teams, including Fraud, FinCrime, Product, Compliance, Security and Engineering, to develop solutions that support business objectives and results.
Problem-Solving Skills: Efficiently retrieve and analyze data to support timely investigations and proactively find ways to enhance detection mechanisms.
Languages: Fluency in English.
Don't worry if you don't tick every box. We believe in the power of different viewpoints and strengths. Your unique perspective is important as we build something special. If you're passionate and can make a difference, we truly encourage you to apply.
