We're looking for a User Research Intern to join our team! In this role, you'll contribute by assisting the team in running research studies and analyzing data to shape meaningful experiences for our players. You'll also have the exciting opportunity to receive mentorship from our experienced user research team.

In this role, you can expect to be involved in:
- Assisting in data collection through interviews, usability studies, or survey analysis
- Observing participants and note-taking during sessions
- Coding video and interviews for analysis
- Gaining insights into what motivates players to play games
- Assisting in setting up and preparing research studies
- Support with recruiting participants for research studies
- Learning about new research methodologies, both quantitative and qualitative
- Developing a basic understanding of game user research
- Learning about the game development process and how user research supports it
- Developing strong relationships with the research team
- Collaborating with the research team to contribute to research efforts
What you'd bring to the team:
- Pursuing a Masters or PhD in a relevant field such as Psychology, Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Human Factors, or similar programs.
- Knowledge of qualitative user research and analysis methods
- Competency in quantitative user research and data analysis methods such as descriptive statistics
- Familiarity with using Excel or similar tools to generate quantitative findings
- Ability to switch between multiple projects
- Strong communication skills
- Nice to Have
- Understanding of grounded theory
- A passion for games
- Comfort with public speaking/presenting to small audiences
- Presentation design skills
