**We Are Rosie is competing to offer Window Seat a "bench" of 5 copywriters who will be on standby for small copywriting requests for the next 6-12 months.  We have not yet closed the deal, we are posting this early in the hopes of being able to move forward should we be selected.  Again, this job may not move forward, but we'd love to present you if you're interested!**

Job Title: Copywriter

Location: fully remote

Duration: Small hourly projects, ongoing for 12 months

Hours/wk: estimated up to 10, but will vary

Hourly Rate: TBD

Job Description:

Delta’s in-house creative agency, Window Seat, is looking for a Freelance Copywriter who will be responsible for crafting copy for the Delta brand. You’ll partner with designers, strategists, and creative leads internally.
 

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS: 

  • Always aspires for creative excellence.
    • Copywriting – You can write creative headlines and clear, concise subheads and body copy. You can also pivot as necessary, taking direction and feedback to keep projects tracking with  their timelines.
    • Ability to write to established concepts – You understand conceptual branding (big ideas / core themes) and can pair up with a designer or the wider team to bring necessary messaging to life.
    • Synthesizing – You not only know how to distill complex info (i.e., “the ask” in a creative brief; stakeholder feedback) into clear messaging, you understand how copy and design need to work together.
    • Ensure writing adheres brand standards.
  • Projects will primarily consist of traditional, digital, social, and Delta’s internal channels (airports/aircraft)
  • The ability to present ideas to team members in writing, in person, or over video chat.
  • A strong proofreading ethic to ensure strong round 1 delivery.

**A sample assignment will be given if you are selected to be presented to the Delta team, so be prepared for a relatively short turnaround time sample writing project, which will be shared later in the process.**

Qualifications

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS)

  • Strong portfolio with at least 2-3 years of copywriting experience showcased.
  • Writing, communication and presentation skills.
  • Deep understanding of brand narrative and storytelling.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task across different projects.
  • Strong project management, time management and attention to detail.
  • Individual must be able to work autonomously as well as be part of a team.
  • Team player who is good at juggling priorities and managing time to achieve a balance of creativity and quality, while respecting timings and budgets.
  • Ability to work on a wide range of deliverables across every channel, and across different brands and verticals. You’re able to shift tone and voice accordingly.
  • Maintains positive attitude under pressure, quick deadlines and multi-round revisions.

WHAT WILL GIVE YOU A COMPETITIVE EDGE (PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS)

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Communications, Advertising or Marketing.
  • Experience using Workfront project management platform a plus.
  • Experience in Adobe Creative Suite a plus.
