Job Description
We are looking for a driven, aggressive and energetic Director, Enterprise Sales to join our growing Enterprise and Wholesale team! As Director, Enterprise Sales, you will report directly to the Senior Director, Sales & Customer Success and you will lead a sales team responsible for protecting and growing revenues for some our most strategic enterprise customers across the Brightspeed portfolio. You will play an integral part in revenue generation while leveraging our extensive technology portfolio to solve their clients’ business and IT needs. You will guide the team to identify new outsourcing and systems integration opportunities that will contribute to Brightspeed’s total revenue commitments.
The Director, Enterprise Sales has three specific areas of responsibilities:
- Account relationship management involving cultivating and maintaining relationships with senior-most stakeholders in Principal accounts (e.g., CIOs), as well as being an advisor and a creative thought partner to senior IT decision-makers, for both their long-term strategy and short-term telecom needs
- Account strategy involving strategizing how to grow the revenue pool – being entrepreneurial about current and potential new accounts
- Supporting the sales teams is the nucleus of the role, and this includes leading and coaching a team of deal experts, professional service consultants, solutions specialists, solutions architects, and customer service consultants. Spending particular attention on leading the sales teams in focusing on developing solutions and selling strategic services to include Voice, Network, IP Telephony, Data Solutions including Cloud Computing, Managed Services and Security Services
As the Director of Enterprise Sales, you will have the following duties:
- Performance Management: Managing sales teams to meet and exceed sales goals. Setting channel objectives and initiating performance planning with measurements in all key areas. Instilling core values of honesty, accountability and integrity within teams. Maintaining consistent communication on key objectives. Analyzing sales results, monitoring productivity, forecasting and quota setting. Forecasting, sales reporting and market conditions and evaluate territories and market share to identify opportunities to increase growth and revenue and manage churn.
- Sales / Customer Retention: Engaging in high level sales meetings with potential and existing key accounts to establish strong working relationships and promote the quality of Brightspeed products and solutions. Working through the contract negotiation process for key accounts on pricing and concessions and facilitating final contract approval across departments. Collaborating cross-functionally with other departments across the company to analyze issues affecting the Enterprise channel and recommending, developing, and implementing process improvements
- Staffing / Employee Relations: Interview and hire management team. Oversee the professional development of organization. Responsible for coaching, motivating and training team to achieve high-performance results.
Qualifications
WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:
- Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experience
- 8+ years of directly relevant work experience, working at all levels in the client up to Board level
- 5+ years of people leadership and management experience, including evaluating team performance and making improvements
- Experience in selling and managing sellers of complex telecommunications and technology, with a strong preference for experience in both
- Proven track record of integrated solutions sales success and leading transformations
- Experience in leading sales teams to sell solutions and services to both large and mid-size enterprises
- Ability to achieve results in a complex, distributed organization
- Ability to manage an aggressive multi million-dollar sales quota
- Proven people leadership skills, with the ability to manage large, dispersed teams
- Ability to oversee handling of complex engagements, long-standing customer relationships, and customer escalations
- C-level executive relationship creation and development
- Analytical thinking skills and quantitative acumen to support account and market analysis, qualified business conditions, and application opportunities
- Strategic thinking skills; ability to design conceptual strategies to address customer needs
- Deep knowledge of IT/Telco industry dynamics and trends
