Job Description

Higharc is a VC-backed startup that is changing how new homes are designed and built. Join a founding team who’ve shipped products for Autodesk, Electronic Arts, Nike, and Apple. In 2024, we raised a $53M Series B fundraising round with support from top-notch venture capital firms and more than 18 strategic investors—industry leaders in construction, building products manufacturing, and distribution.

Why We’re Hiring

Higharc is entering a rapid growth phase: expanding product offerings, onboarding new customers, and scaling our distributed team. To meet this demand, we need a hands‑on Director of Recruiting who can personally drive searches while elevating our overall hiring engine. You’ll partner deeply with hiring managers, leverage AI‑enabled tools, craft sourcing strategies, and translate headcount plans into predictable talent pipelines—all while collaborating with our Senior Recruiter (who will report to you) in an “all‑hands‑on‑deck” environment.

Note: This is NOT exclusively a people‑management role. You’ll roll up your sleeves to source, engage, and interview candidates daily.

What You’ll Do

  • Full‑Cycle Recruiting & Candidate Experience – Own candidate search strategies; source via traditional and AI‑enabled tools; conduct interviews and calibrate feedback with hiring teams. Maintain a high bar for overall candidate experience including template creation for candidate communications.

  • Strategic Partnership with Hiring Managers – Facilitate kickoff and weekly syncs; coach interviewers on structured, inclusive assessments; advise on role scoping, compensation, and market insights.

  • Process evaluation & creation - Documentation/playbooks/repeatable processes are a mandatory at Higharc - evaluate all current processes, suggest improvements and create new processes/artifacts/rituals.

  • Data-driven approach - work with the VP of People Ops to identify & track recruiting KPIs & metrics. Maintain a source of truth for recruiting (dashboard, etc) in order to both provide past, present, and future views of recruiting as well as identify gaps & improvement areas.

  • Creative sourcing & workforce strategy – Evaluate team resource needs and identify creative solutions for finding talent and evaluating solutions such as off-shore & contract workers.

  • Workforce Planning & Talent Forecasting – Translate quarterly/annual headcount plans into recruiting roadmaps; collaborate with Finance & People Ops on pipeline health, time‑to‑start, and budget adherence.

  • AI‑Enabled Process & Tech Optimization – Pilot and implement recruiting automations (sourcing bots, scheduling, screening); own our ATS (Ashby) and associated integrations to ensure the recruiting function is empowered by the latest .

  • Employer Brand & Sourcing Strategies – Partner with Marketing to showcase culture via social, events, and content; build diverse pipelines through community partnerships, referrals, and targeted outreach.

  • People Ops Collaboration & Special Projects – Lend broad People Ops expertise to onboarding, culture, or L&D projects during slower hiring cycles.

What You’ll Bring

  • 8+ years recruiting experience in high‑growth tech, with direct, hands‑on success sourcing and closing Engineers, Product, Go‑to‑Market, and G&A talent. Specialization in hiring technical & niche talent is a must.

  • Demonstrated expertise partnering with hiring managers on role design, interview calibration, and offer strategy.

  • Fluency with modern, AI‑enabled recruiting stacks (e.g., Greenhouse, Gem, HireEZ, ChatGPT, LinkedIn AI) and comfort experimenting with new tools.

  • Data‑driven mindset—able to build dashboards, interpret funnel metrics, and forecast headcount needs.

  • Broad People Ops experience is a plus (e.g., onboarding, L&D, total rewards), enabling cross‑functional collaboration in a lean team.

  • Executive‑level influence and consultative skills—can challenge constructively and inspire action.

  • Passion for the built environment or eagerness to learn the homebuilding domain.

How We Work

  • Remote‑first culture: async‑friendly, video‑light days, regular in–person get-togethers.

  • All‑hands‑on‑deck: small but mighty People Ops team; everyone dives in where needed.

  • Autonomy & trust: we set high‑context goals and give you the support to get there.

  • Quality over quantity: we care about craft—whether it’s software, a slide deck, or a candidate experience.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive base salary plus meaningful equity.

  • 401(k), top‑tier health/dental/vision, life & disability coverage.

  • Home‑office setup allowance.

  • Flexible PTO (take the time you need) and paid parental leave.

  • Wellness benefits: One Medical membership, mental‑health support.
