Job Description
Are you a strategic and detail-oriented media expert with a passion for integrated marketing? Do you thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment where collaboration and innovation drive results? We are seeking a highly skilled media planner to support the execution of media strategy and campaign planning across paid channels for our client, a leading financial services company.
Location: Applicants must be located in Chicago or New York and be willing to work on-site as needed.
Contract Length: August -January (6 months)
Working Hours: 40 hours/week
Compensation: $55/hr
Key Responsibilities:
Support the development, implementation, and measurement of integrated paid media plans in collaboration with internal teams and external media agencies.
Serve as a key point of contact and operational support for media campaign planning and execution across designated lines of business.
Manage media budgets, campaign tracking, reporting deliverables, and assist with financial processes including billing and reconciliation.
Act as a liaison across cross-functional teams—strategy, brand, analytics, and media partners—to drive alignment and ensure timelines and goals are met.
Monitor and incorporate data-driven marketing efforts into media plans to support test-and-learn opportunities and enterprise-level learning agendas.
Support the VP of Integrated Media Management in reviewing media documentation, timelines, and deliverables to ensure accuracy and completion.
Educate internal stakeholders on emerging media trends and share strategic points of view on the evolving media landscape.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of marketing experience in paid media, advertising technology, or digital advertising preferred.
- Experience at a media agency or on a corporate media team is a plus.
- Experience in the Financial services and/or highly regulated category preferred.
- Track record of working on high-profile launches and stewarding the communication planning process and experience.
- Excellent relationship skills, highly collaborative, problem solver, self-starter; can build rapport and credibility, and can drive desired business outcomes.
- Ability to translate technical concepts into presentations that can be understood by non-technical individuals.
- Exceptional partnering skills required to navigate a large organization.
- Knowledge of media planning and buying software like Lumina, MediaTools, and Prisma is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, interpersonal, and analytical skills
- Detail-oriented, good follow through, able to multi-task, and work well under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
