As a Senior BI Developer you will design, develop, and optimize business intelligence solutions that transform data into actionable insights. You will work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analysts to deliver high-impact dashboards, reports, and analytics tools that support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and data models.
- Optimize BI solutions for performance, scalability, and usability.
- Collaborate with data engineers to ensure reliable data pipelines and semantic layers.
- Maintain and enhance the BI platform, including data sources, security, and user access.
- Provide training and support to business users on self-service BI tools.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance in reporting solutions.
- Stay current with BI trends and recommend improvements to tools and processes.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
Experience: 5–7+ years in BI development, data analytics, or data visualization roles, preferably in a global or enterprise environment.
BI Tools: Advanced proficiency in Power BI (preferred), Tableau, or Qlik, including DAX, calculated columns, and custom visuals.
Data Modeling: Strong understanding of dimensional modeling, star/snowflake schemas, and semantic layer design.
SQL & Data Engineering: Proficient in SQL for querying, transformation, and performance tuning; familiarity with ETL/ELT processes.
Cloud Platforms: Experience working with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure Synapse, Snowflake, AWS Redshift).
Data Governance: Knowledge of data quality, lineage, metadata management, and access control.
Performance Optimization: Ability to troubleshoot and optimize slow dashboards and complex queries.
Business Acumen: Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and communicate insights effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
Agile & Collaboration: Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.
Mentorship: Experience mentoring junior BI developers or analysts and contributing to BI best practices. Certifications (Preferred): Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate, Tableau Desktop Certified Professional, or equivalent.
