EvenUp is hiring a People Operations Associate based in Canada to be our internal subject matter expert and help ensure that our people operations administration is top notch. We’re growing at a rapid pace, and this opportunity is perfect for someone who wants a front row seat to hyper growth–and to be part of the show! You will manage our full employee life-cycle including onboarding, internal operations and employee experience.
What you'll do:
Stay up to date with employment laws, regulations, and industry best practices to ensure company policies and practices are in compliance
Collaborate with HR leadership to implement changes, updates, and new policies to maintain compliance and mitigate risk
Maintain HR systems including Rippling, Equitable Health, Checkr, Lattice, and similar to ensure that records are up to date and discoverable
Define and track people metrics to help see around corners
Serve as initial point of contact for first tier HR questions on topics including extended health benefits, onboarding, orientation events, policies, processes, and People systems
Administer HR processes including work permits, performance management, and compliance processes
Act as a proactive owner of our people operations processes, automating where you can to prepare us for scale
Bring an ownership mentality to all you do–always be thinking about how we can best enable our team to do the best work of their lives
What we look for:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in an HR role at a Canadian company with exposure to compliance
Ability to problem solve quickly and effectively, while keeping the needs of the whole business in mind
Experience working at a fast-paced technology company
Experience working with HRIS configuration and integrations
Exceptional attention to detail and customer-service orientation
Excellent written and verbal communication
Exceptional time management skills with the ability to juggle shifting priorities
Professional discretion and ability to appropriately handle confidential information
