Job Description
SmartConnect is looking for a strategic, collaborative, and experienced Director of Enterprise Accounts to focus on driving channel pipeline and expanding our partnership portfolio. The Director of Enterprise Accounts is a specialized business development role responsible for qualifying and pursuing new B2B opportunities to help grow our addressable audience via key intermediaries and direct client partnerships. You will be responsible for planning, preparing, and executing an enterprise sales plan for prospective and existing customers, and preferably has experience in selling enterprise HRM systems. The ideal candidate is skilled at cultivating relationships, has demonstrated experience with product and business development, and has a track record of success in scaling channel partnerships.

What You’ll Do:
The essential duties and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
- Work with the Director of SmartConnect, and the SmartConnect Account Management team to develop new business opportunities and expand our partnership footprint.
- Collaborate with executive leadership, marketing, and other critical stakeholders to ensure we maximize our existing and future customer base to become and remain the partner’s trusted advisor.
- Align our solution and services to meet prospects’ needs
- Develop and collaborate scalable partner launch management processes and procedures that support operational efficiency towards in-year revenue forecast with the sales team.
- Lead multiple opportunities concurrently in different business development stages towards a goal of closed-won on new business opportunities prior to end of fiscal year.
- Identify, analyze and prioritize potential new business opportunities for the company including potential new markets, distribution, business models, and acquisitions. Develop analysis and formal business cases.
- Track developments in the industry as well as other industries that may intersect with us, connect these insights to business activities, decisions, and relevant partners.
- Assume accountability for the performance growth of customer segments, including tracking and managing progress towards major milestones.
- Report progress of monthly/quarterly/annual biz dev. activities and partner growth initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.
- Assume direct oversight and accountability for key metrics and prospects’ outcomes; responsible to meet or exceed targets set forth as part of the company’s strategy.
- Research and recommend new tools, data sources, prospecting methods, and technologies that may require additional funding/investment, for both current and long-term growth opportunities.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned.
What You’ll Bring to the Role:
- Minimum BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of business development and/or sales experience, preferably with B2B sales.
- Experience selling enterprise HRM systems
- Proven success/experience working with and developing relationships with brokers, consultants, corporate clients, and similar B2B entities.
- Fundamentals of (and ability to increase knowledge within) the Medicare environment including Medicare Supplement, Medicare Advantage plans, PDPs, and ancillary products.
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work inter-departmentally and independently as needed.
- Detail-oriented and process-minded.
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
- Strong presentation and networking skills.
- Knowledge of CRM tools (ie. Salesforce).
