Job Description
The Sales Training Manager will assist in the design and execution of organizational sales training programs that will equip employees with the skills and knowledge to competently perform the duties of their role. Their primary duties are to ensure that all sales agents master the skills required to efficiently and capably perform in their role, as well as assisting the Sales Enablement Team in the creation, updating, and maintenance of applicable sales resources and e-learning curriculum. They will also serve as a subject matter expert for training information, identify training needs, and design training and continuing education to be used in the new agent sales training, as well as ongoing sales education initiatives.
Qualifications
What You’ll Do:
The essential duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Execute tailored sales training that consists of product, process, and industry knowledge
- Responsible and accountable for the effectiveness, measurement, and revisions of learning programs offered by the Sales Enablement Team
- Radiate positivity; be a working example of the organization’s values and professionalism for new and existing employees
- Oversee and manage training records and resources
- Assist in researching and updating all sales resources
- Demonstrate comfort communicating with multiple departments and leaders throughout the organization
- M anage and maintain in-house training facilities and equipment when needed
- Conduct needs analysis, collaborating with business leaders, and recommend proposed learning solutions to meet business challenges
- Develop learning and development strategies & content delivering programs that strengthen individual skills and leadership competencies, driving a culture of continuous learning and improvement
- Demonstrate an ongoing willingness to learn about innovative learning solutions, learning delivery methods, and learning content
- Assist with training feedback initiatives
- Oversee, update, and manage training content and records within the LMS and intranet for the sales organization
General: Roles & Responsibilities
- Execute the day-to-day training activities within their assigned training class
- Conduct state-specific Health & Life Insurance Exam training intended to arm agents with the knowledge to quickly pass their respective state licensure exam, as needed
- Provide tailored training that can consist of product, process, market, and H&L curriculums
- Work with the sales enablement leaders to develop strategies around improving the training program’s effectiveness and agent experience.
- Analyze sales training success through data and provide regular progress updates.
What You’ll Bring to the Role:
- Bachelor’s degree in education, communication or related field preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong passion for learning and development.
- Detail oriented.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects while achieving deadlines and goals.
- Previous teaching experience preferred.
- Previous sales experience preferred.
