Natcast (short for The National Center for the Advancement of Semiconductor Technology) is a new, purpose-built, non-profit entity created to operate the National Semiconductor Technology Center (NSTC) consortium, established by the CHIPS Act of the U.S. government.

 Director of Semiconductor Process Integration 

Tempe, AZ 

In this role you will pioneer next-generation semiconductor process integration strategies, leading technical innovation at Natcast's state-of-the-art Prototyping and Advanced Packaging Facility. 

Every day you will orchestrate complex technology development initiatives, collaborating with world-class engineers to advance semiconductor manufacturing capabilities that strengthen America's technological leadership. 

To thrive in this role you must combine deep technical expertise in semiconductor process integration with strategic leadership abilities and a proven track record of driving innovation in complex manufacturing environments.

This groundbreaking public-private partnership unites industry leaders, academic researchers, and government stakeholders in advancing U.S. semiconductor capabilities through collaborative innovation. 

The Director of Process Integration role presents a unique opportunity to shape the future of semiconductor manufacturing in the United States. Leading technical strategy and execution at our advanced facility, this position directly impacts the development of next-generation semiconductor technologies while working with cutting-edge equipment and processes. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Lead technology transfer and process integration activities across the facility 

  • Direct cross-functional teams in developing new process technologies 

  • Oversee complex data analysis from metrology and electrical characterization 

  • Drive implementation of novel device architectures and technologies 

  • Manage process development and qualification initiatives 

  • Guide yield improvement and performance enhancement efforts 

  • Lead and mentor process integration engineering teams 

  • Establish and maintain technical excellence standards 

  • Collaborate with research partners and stakeholders 

  • Drive innovation in manufacturing processes 

 

Required Skills and Experience: 

  • PhD or Master's in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field 

  • 12+ years semiconductor process integration experience 

  • Proven leadership in technology development and transfer 

  • Expert knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes 

  • Strong background in metrology and electrical characterization 

  • Track record of successful process optimization projects 

  • Excellence in cross-functional team leadership 

  • Deep analytical and problem-solving capabilities 

 

Preferred Skills & Experience 

  • Experience with advanced packaging technologies 

  • Publication record in semiconductor process integration 

  • Industry-academic collaboration experience 

  • Patent portfolio in semiconductor manufacturing 

  • Multi-site project management experience
